Currently, none of the screencasts in the first screencast page are in English, but it's often hard to tell that they are in languages that I don't understand.
I think it's great that you've got multinational screencasts, but some sort of language filter would be nice. Perhaps a dropdown on the page that defaults to 'all', but allows the user to select a specific filter?

That Zach Skyles Owens is doing a great job posting screencasts, by the way. You guys need to catch up :)

Error refreshing Coffehouse forum

Hi.
This morning i'm having several problems refreshing the Coffehouse forum.
Clicking the refresh button i have an error message box (see attached file).
This doesn't happen on the other forums.
I'm using XP PRO SP3, IE7.

I am a firm believer in Positive Reinforcement.
That being said I am starting this thread with one purpose in mind: Kudos to the C9 team.

Please post whatever you are happy with; what works for you on the C9 site/forums.

I'll start by commenting that I like the overall theme/colors.
Also like the Who's Online feature, it seems to be underrated.
Last but not least, I really like the Channel 9 Doctrine :D

I figured I should throw this out there again: all post times are one hour in the future compared to when the posts were actually made.

My timezone is set to JST and this timezone does not have DST at all, ever.

Since this issue has existed since C9v3 I don't really expect it to be fixed anymore...

Expanding "In reply to" in combination with Ajax paging broken.

Try the following:
- Open this thread: http://channel9.msdn.com/forums/Coffeehouse/428294-No-more-Seinfeld-ads/
- Browse to the second page using the Ajax paging (the issue does not occur if the page was loaded in full without Ajax).
- Click the "In reply to stevo_" bit on Bas's post on the top to expand it
- Nothing happens.

If Ajax paging has been used, the "in reply to" bits don't expand if they refer to a post on another page. Those "in reply to" bits that refer to a post on the same page do work.

A long time ago, we were promised that we'd get the option to jump to the first unread post in a thread. Currently we still only have the ability to jump to the last post, which just isn't as useful.

Consider the following scenario. I come back one morning to find a thread has new messages. This thread now has five pages, while I know it had only three pages the day before (and I would remember that; I have an excellent memory for pointless numbers). In the old C9 I could just open at page 3, find the first unread post, and start from there. Now I must either open at page 1 or 5, browse to page 3, and then look for the post.

Since you seem determined to not have to ability to jump to a specific page, can we please get that "jump to first unread post" option, instead of (or in addition to) "jump to last"?

Apparently I'm watching Introducción a Visual Studio 2008 (4 de 4) and Introducción a Visual Studio 2008 (3 de 4), two videos I've never seen before in a language I don't understand.

Are there any plans to change this to something more relevant to the user's previous viewing behaviour, or at least just change the "What you're watching" label to "What's new" or whatever it is?

So are you going to explain the colours?

I'd really like it if you guys would reconsider the function of the reply button on posts. I'm seeing way to many posts where people apparently reply to a specific post, but the text of the post indicates that they intended to reply to the thread. I think this happens because most people assume (even subconciously) that clicking a reply button means replying to the thread. This sort of thing never happened in v3 because the reply-to-post button was a very specific, unambiguous button, namely the quote button. The text "Reply" is very ambiguous, and as demonstrated, a lot of time people mistakenly use it when they had meant to use something else.

In my opinion, the best solution would be two buttons: A "Reply to Post" and a "Reply" or "Reply to thread" button on every post. I think that'd clear up a lot of the confusion, both for people who post and those wo read a post that wasn't meant as a reply to someone.

It would really be nice if there was an easy way to subscribe to the video content via TV Tonic to watch with a Media Center extender. Is it possible, am I missing something, because I can't find a way to do it? It's possible with channel 10 content.

Why does the poll not have a "I'd rather that C9 worked on my PC rather than on my phone" option?

Seriously, fix C9 for browsers such as Chrome and Safari before you start making it work on phones, because more people access C9 through Chrome and Safari than access it through phones.

The code tags seem to play up if you put your first line of code on the line below the opening tag.

e.g.

[C o d e Language="CSharp"]

Hello

[/C o d e]

returns

[Code Language="CSharp"]

Hello

[/Code]

However if you start the code on the same line as the opening tag, it's fine.
