I'm noticing a distinct lack of 9 guy too.

Looks good. I'm personally not a big fan of carpet though. Mostly because I'm prone to spill stuff, but primarily because I get electric shocks several times a day at work because of that damned carpet.

I must confess I'm pretty happy with listening to my iPod through decent Sennheiser headphones, good quality headphones really do make a difference :)

Also I have an old CRT 17" which does 1600 x 1200 rather nicely for my coding, and a 19" Wide screen TFT for my help files etc, so I don't have to faff about with switching between windows. That's what get's me.

I didn't realise how much I'd use two monitors until I had to in my new job, now I'm not sure how I'd survive with out them.

Still, will probably upgrade to total TFT set up at somepoint and reclaim half my desk....Pay is coming..hip hip hooray :)

As far as the work. It's not the gear, it's the experience. Anyone can save up the cash to make the setup, but I don't think it would be the same without the huge amount of geeky conversations that go on here.

I mean, we must have cracked up for like ten minutes making those initiations, trying to find a few things that would define the fun we have. But I guess you knida had to be here ;)

All joking aside, I hope you take that to heart with your setup. It's not just the gear, it's the way you feel when you use it, environment means alot. How can you be on top of your game when your chi is all messed up?
